FAQs

What is mobile broadband and how does it work?

Mobile broadband connects your wireless devices to the internet via Vodafone’s 4G and 5G networks, allowing you the freedom to use your device wherever you have mobile signal. You can get online pretty much anywhere – Vodafone network covers 99% of the UK. Our mobile broadband device is small and portable, ideal for working on the move.

How do I know which Super Fast broadband speed I need?

Simply use our built-in availability checker to see what speeds are available in your area. We recommend different broadband speeds depending on the size of your office; for a team of 4 or less people we recommend SOGEA 80/20, for a team of 5-7 people we recommend FTTP 220/30, and for a team of 8 or more people we recommend FTTP 1000/115. But the choice is entirely yours if you want a faster speed and it’s available!

What are SOGEA and SOGFAST connections?

SOGEA stands for Single Order Generic Ethernet Access. It’s a copper connection from the street cabinet to the premises without a voice component. This means SOGEA is often a cheaper broadband option as you aren’t paying for a phone line.

SOGFAST stands for Single Order G.Fast and is a faster version of SOGEA. SOGFAST is only available at G.Fast enabled cabinets, therefore it is less common than SOGEA.
